In an interview with IRNA, Mr. Houshang Goodarzi added: "In the future of 1404, the amount of Iranian aluminum production will reach 1,200,000 tons, which requires the use of foreign and domestic capital." He added: "Today, 25% of the final price of the aluminum industry is related to energy, and Iran, with its oil and gas resources and expert manpower, can have an upward trend in this field."

In 2016, Iran processed 342,000 tons of aluminum ingots, ranking sixth in the Persian Gulf region with an interest rate of 6%. Mr. Goodarzi added that the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) has expanded international conditions for cross-border cooperation.
