The chairman of the board of directors of the Aluminum Industries Syndicate said: According to the plan created in the future of 1399, the amount of Iranian aluminum production will reach 780,000 tons, which is currently more than 61.5% of this operation.

In an interview with IRNA, Mr. Houshang Goodarzi added: "In the future of 1404, the amount of Iranian aluminum production will reach 1,200,000 tons, which requires the use of foreign and domestic capital." He added: "Today, 25% of the final price of the aluminum industry is related to energy, and Iran, with its oil and gas resources and expert manpower, can have an upward trend in this field."

In 2016, Iran processed 342,000 tons of aluminum ingots, ranking sixth in the Persian Gulf region with an interest rate of 6%. It was also the first aluminum producer in the region in the 1950s, but now subcontinent countries are working on it. According to him, Iran provides some of the required raw materials from the Jajarm region (North Khorasan), which also has a strong manpower.

According to IRNA: During 10 months of this year, the Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade announced the amount of aluminum ingots processing in Hormozal (Bandar Abbas), Al-Mahdi and Iralco (Arak) companies as 574/247 tons. During this period, the amount of alumina powder production was 195,126 tons. The total processing of aluminum ingots in the countries around the Persian Gulf and Iran in 2016 reached 115,571.5 tons, with the UAE having a profit of 44% in this region with 2,471,000 tons. Mr. Goodarzi added that the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) has expanded international conditions for cross-border cooperation.

According to the information stated in the Annual General Assembly of the Organization for Development and Renovation of Mines and Mining Industries of Iran (Imidro) in October this year, the amount of investment required for aluminum chain expansion projects is $ 11 billion, which is 21.5% of the total investment required for mining and mineral industries.
